This weekend we kicked off the outdoor concert season with the Sweetlife food and music festival at the Merriweather Post Pavilion. Hosted by Sweet Green, the concert featured some of our favorite artists including Kid Cudi, Avicii, Fitz and the Tantrums and Fun.  Great music, food and friends is a perfect way to celebrate the #sweetlife. We look forward to sharing more of our upcoming concerts with you!

Meet our newest girl crushes. The impeccably chic and drop dead gorgeous French foursome are the granddaughters of Jacques Courtin-Clarins, founder of Clarins skin-care company. Not only are these ladies incredibly stylish,  they've got brains and ambition too. Prisca owns the first American-esque nail bar in Paris, “Nail Factory,” while the three others have all pursued degrees. #girlpower

One designer that we are anxious to see on the NYC runways in a couple weeks is Sass & Bide.  We're still drooling over these RTW pieces from the Fall 2011 collection.

In lieu of The Help's huge night at the SAG Awards, a few encouraging words to start your week off.  Who do you think was best dressed last night? Lea Michele in that high-slit Versace stole the show for us.

cutout obsession

Not surprisingly, I packed a 70 lb suitcase for a seven day getaway to Mexico.  My ABSOLUTE favorite piece, however, was a recent purchase I made from Planet Blue.  The printed, bell-sleeved, cutout maxi fits stunningly and has become the most comfortable dress I own...hands down.  I danced the night away in it (see bottom photo, lol)!  If there is one thing you need to purchase for any upcoming tropical vacays, this is IT. trust me.

We are back from a fabulous week in Playa Del Carmen...hands down our new favorite vacation spot.  Playa attracts beautiful people from all around the world, but still manages to keep that quaint, small beach town feel.  Aside from the gorgeous beaches, the food is delicious and the nightlife is equivalent to that of any big city.

Fab bars & clubs: Mandela, Blue Parrot, Siesta Fiesta

James Beard chef, Andy Ricker, has joined the LES with his new NYC outpost,  Pok Pok Wing.  After giving it a try tonight, we are more than happy to welcome the Portland based master of thai cuisine to the neighborhood.  Ike's infamous caramelized wings are smothered in fish sauce, garlic, and chili--an absolute must.  A side of papaya salad creates the perfect balance, super fresh and full of heat. And to top it all off, an upgraded thai iced coffee featuring New York City's own Stumptown cold brew.  Open till 2am on the weekends, I'm sure we'll be revisiting Pok Pok very soon!
