jewel accents

With hurricanes and tornadoes along the east coast this week, the weather is sadly changing and soon we'll be saying au revoir to summer.  One trend that you'll see continue into fall: color blocking...but a bit toned down. Fall introduces deep rich colors to our wardrobe-get inspired by emerald, sapphire, eggplant purple, and fuchsia.

beach beats

We've been on a reggae kick recently--it's the perfect compliment to a beach trip.  This weekend we checked out Mishka perform in Montauk and fell in love. His latest album "Talk About" has some great tracks to jam out to before the summer wraps up.  Check out his playlist here.

food with a rhythm

We live down the street from some of the city's most talked about restaurants and love to frequent them as often as possible.  This weekend we checked out Miss Lily's and it certainly lived up to all the hype. The Jamaican hot spot is filled with beautiful people and great reggae, but even better than the ambiance is the delicious menu.  If you're in the mood to spice it up a bit, the jerk chicken and accompanying bottle of jerk sauce is a must-have.

Other restaurants on our to-do list:
the dutch

imperial no. 9

and we're back

After letting the craziness of work and summer get the best of us...we. are. back. Like the Nike billboard reads, there's no excuse for procrastination. We're 100% recommitting ourselves to our blog and to our readers.  Thank you for sticking with us!
