get your grub on

smoked short rib and pork shoulder chili from Char No. 4
chicken biscuit from Williamsburg's Pies-N-Thighs
fried apple pie from Melt Bakery
cheeseburger from east village Brindle Room
This weekend we enjoyed the gorgeous fall weather and headed down the street to the Grub Street Food Festival.  40 of the city's best filled Hester Street including our recent favorite, Miss Lily's. Our recommendation for getting the most bang for your buck at a food fair, always go with a big group of friends and share EVERYTHING.

exploring the hood

the infamous Meatball Shop
quick but delicious Greek at Souvlaki GR
Since we moved on to Orchard Street a few months ago, we've dined at some of the city's most fabulous spots.  This weekend though, we decided to stay close to home and take advantage of a few of  our LES faves.

hopeless romantics

Even though we admittedly are pretty far from having to plan a wedding, we stumbled upon and are now obsessed with an amazingly artistic couple who fell in love at the age of 17 and now spend their lives documenting the lives of other lovers. Washington, DC's For You Love Me has such a unique way of capturing every moment.

walk 4love

In 2008, a dear friend of ours lost his girlfriend in a courageous battle with pediatric cancer.  Since then, he has committed his life to helping children and young adults like Jana fight and stand up to cancer.

Each year, the Huntington community rallies for Jana, the 4love Project, and the cause, to raise money for pediatric cancer research. This Saturday marks the 3rd annual Walk 4Love in Long Island, click here to register or donate.
I walk for courage. I walk for hope, strength, and innocence. I walk with pride. I walk with honor, resilience, and faith. I walk so that someday, the world won’t have to worry about pediatric cancer. I walk for my friends, my family, and for those who can’t walk. I walk for life. I walk for Jana. I Walk 4 Love.
