walk 4love

In 2008, a dear friend of ours lost his girlfriend in a courageous battle with pediatric cancer.  Since then, he has committed his life to helping children and young adults like Jana fight and stand up to cancer.

Each year, the Huntington community rallies for Jana, the 4love Project, and the cause, to raise money for pediatric cancer research. This Saturday marks the 3rd annual Walk 4Love in Long Island, click here to register or donate.
I walk for courage. I walk for hope, strength, and innocence. I walk with pride. I walk with honor, resilience, and faith. I walk so that someday, the world won’t have to worry about pediatric cancer. I walk for my friends, my family, and for those who can’t walk. I walk for life. I walk for Jana. I Walk 4 Love.

the glorification of gangster

Check this out: One of our good friends, Alex Haldi, is hosting his first exhibit "The Glorification of Gangster" tonight at the World Monuments Fund Gallery from 7-11pm.

Alex has worked as an art director for some of hip-hops biggest names including Jay-Z, Rihanna, Ludacris, Wu Tang, and J. Cole.  Through the industry, he became astutely aware of the violence and machismo that defined 'gangster' rap.  In the exhibition, Alex explores this cultural obsession with visual art, original music and installation.

A portion of the proceeds will go to Camp Kayak.

giving back

The Fresh Air Fund is a non-profit we have worked with for a few years.  The group gives over 1.7M disadvantaged New York City kids the opportunity to participate in free summer programs and home stays, allowing them to escape their difficult city lives while creating unforgettable memories and lifelong friendships.

There are several opportunities to be involved with The Fresh Air Fund through mentoring, tutoring, donating, or joining their charity committee.

What can you do now?
Juicy Couture and Bloomingdales have partnered to host "Couture for a Cause" to raise money for The Fresh Air Fund.  If you have a minute, please stop by next Thursday for shopping + cocktails + giving.
