The side braid is an easy solution for summertime hair, but switch it up with a fishtail braid and you'll be sure to get a few double takes.

the glorification of gangster
Check this out: One of our good friends, Alex Haldi, is hosting his first exhibit "The Glorification of Gangster" tonight at the World Monuments Fund Gallery from 7-11pm.
Alex has worked as an art director for some of hip-hops biggest names including Jay-Z, Rihanna, Ludacris, Wu Tang, and J. Cole. Through the industry, he became astutely aware of the violence and machismo that defined 'gangster' rap. In the exhibition, Alex explores this cultural obsession with visual art, original music and installation.
A portion of the proceeds will go to Camp Kayak.

fiesta
We had a few friends over for Cinco De Mayo and used a couple really simple recipes for easy entertaining. We LOVE guacamole! Some our our favorite guac spots in the city are: Rosa Mexicano, Mama Mexico, Hecho en Dumbo, and Mercadito.

giving back
The Fresh Air Fund is a non-profit we have worked with for a few years. The group gives over 1.7M disadvantaged New York City kids the opportunity to participate in free summer programs and home stays, allowing them to escape their difficult city lives while creating unforgettable memories and lifelong friendships.
There are several opportunities to be involved with The Fresh Air Fund through mentoring, tutoring, donating, or joining their charity committee.
What can you do now?
Juicy Couture and Bloomingdales have partnered to host "Couture for a Cause" to raise money for The Fresh Air Fund. If you have a minute, please stop by next Thursday for shopping + cocktails + giving.

crescent city cuisine
Back from New Orleans and we absolutely fell in love with the city. The music, food, and culture that Nola has to offer cannot be found anywhere else--Jazz Fest is definitely going to become an annual tradition.
